The Top 5 Moments From Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2014

It's easy to induce lost in an exceedingly ocean of white, lace and mesh at bridal market -- the jam-packed, semi-annual week within which prime bridal gown designers debut their latest collections.

But each therefore usuallythere is a moment that stands out higher than the remainder -- whether or not it's providing welcome comic relief or gap attendees' eyes to one thing new and awe-inspiring.

Below, I've counted down my prime 5 moments from this year's bridal fashion week. Check them out!

    Models Taking Selfies

"Selfie" may have been Oxford Dictionary's 2013 word of the year, but it doesn't look like it's going away any time soon. Models at Rivini by Rita Vinieris' runway show snapped photos of themselves at the end of the presentation while The Chainsmokers' #SELFIE song played over the loudspeakers -- and no, we still can't get it out of our heads.

We were thrilled to see plus-size models walking the runway at Jenny Packham's show. After all, a bride is beautiful no matter her size -- and these gorgeous models and dresses are proof.

After a particularly long day at bridal market, the best you can hope for is a designer with personality -- and Liancarlo designer Carlos Ramirez definitely has that! During a presentation of his Spring 2015 collection, the designer noted that this lace detail resembles a marijuana leaf. Hey, inspiration really is everywhere!

    Dancing Down The Runway

Staff at Reem Acra asked guests to keep their feet off the runway for a "special surprise" -- and surprised we were when, instead of models in wedding dresses, out came a dance crew! The dancers kicked off a high-energy fashion show and even joined the designer onstage at the end for an encore.

When these cuties made their debut on the runway in Oscar de la Renta's spring 2015flower girl dresses, an audible "aww" was heard in the room. Just check out the smiles on attendees' faces -- and the adorable grins on the little princesses!
