22 of the Most Outrageous Things Karl Lagerfeld Has Ever Said

The world according to Karl Lagerfeld is one we know well, thanks to the designer's frequent one-liners, ruminations on just about anything, and general penchant for honesty above all else. The designer has become as notorious for his candid, and sometimes controversial, interviews as he has for his work at Chanel and Fendi. In the past year alone, Lagerfeld has kept tongues wagging with a supermarché-themed Fall 2014 show, a bizarre film titled Fashion MachineKristen Stewart's debut Chanel campaign, and a far-flung show schedule that included both Dallas and Dubai. If anyone can keep us on our toes, it's the Kaiser.

In honor of Lagerfeld's 81st birthday, we're celebrating with some of our favorite Karl-isms, a zany mix of the most outrageous and the most colorful things he has said (so far).

Victoria Beckham's Closet's Up For Grabs - Right Now

Let it not be said that Victoria Beckham isn't generous with her extensive closet. The designer made a big announcement on Twitter early this morning that over 600 of her pieces are now being auctioned up at The Outnet.
And, Victoria is cleaning out her walk-in for a great cause: mothers2mothers, her charity of choice, which she announced back in early August.

If her last charity sale was any indication, the expectations were high for a major haul. And the designer certainly lived up to her end of the bargain, when she announced on Instagram that her 2003 MTV Movie Awards Dolce & Gabbana dress and a fierce Roberto Cavalli mini are among the 10 items included in the Going, Going, Gone reverse auction (where prices will reduce by a fixed amount every 30 minutes).
All of the excitement led us to dream big about the garments that we'd raise a paddle to bid on. So, we took a look back at some of Victoria Beckham's most memorable wardrobe moments. Scroll on to see them all, and whether or not they made the cut. And then start shopping while you can — the auction will be live on The Outnet from now until August 25.
